Special Message For Nepal Relief Clients
Many of our clients are providing assistance and relief to the people of Nepal following the 7.8 earthquake on April 25th, 2015. We know that the first 72 hours after a disaster are critical in recruiting aid and support for an organization.
Web, mobile and social networks are important direct response channels. In the first days after the 2011 Japanese earthquake, 21% of Americans said they had already made a donation to help those in need, and more than a third of those donations were made through electronic means.
If your charity is involved in fundraising for the Nepal relief effort, we are dedicated to supporting you in your emergency donation appeals during this time.
Speed and Security: We are maintaining 100% up-time and speed during this temporary period of heavy web traffic. FrontStream follows a Pandemics & Emergencies Protocol that ensures our clients can experience normal operations during high volume events. FrontStream Fundraising Pro servers are hosted at Q9 networks. Q9 data centres are engineered to eliminate any single point of failure, with multiple layers of redundancy in power systems, HVAC, and fire detection and suppression.
PCI Level 1 Certification: Requirements for the Level One PCI Compliance certification are stringent and must be updated and submitted for re-certification on a yearly basis. FrontStream achieves yearly PCI Level 1 certification for merchants processing over 6 million Visa transactions annually.
Reviewing your options inside the FrontStream System:
We recommend that clients enable tools like mobile donation pages, social networking widgets, custom emails and fund designation to allow your volunteers and supporters to spread your appeals on their personal networks.
If you would like to add “Nepal Earthquake Relief” as a designation option for your donors, add a drop-down or multiple choice question to your page under User Defined Fields inside the system. If you have any questions about setting up fund designation or customizing your donation forms for an emergency appeal, please visit the Knowledge Base for more information.
Creating a personal or workplace fundraising campaign:
In addition to giving supporters a direct donation option on your website, you also may want to also present the option to personally fundraise for Nepal. Using FrontStream Fundraising Pro inside our system, you can create a “fundraise to support this emergency” inside the event/campaign template. Your donors can also create personal fundraising pages on FirstGiving.com, or its partners IndieGoGo and GoFundMe.
Your corporate partners may choose to enable a workplace giving campaign through FrontStream Workplace Philanthropy.
If you have questions about how FrontStream can further support you during this critical period, please contact your account manager, the support team in your location, or speak with us on Facebook or Twitter.
