Gift Match: Connecting Charities with Corporate Employees

Host: John Wright & Claire Kerr

What if we told you that there was a free way to double your average donation amount?

In a “Matching Gifts” corporate program, employers match employee donations, usually dollar-for-dollar. Many charities and nonprofits know that employers offer donation match, but the fundraising potential of these programs is often overlooked.

Just mentioning gift match is powerful. Research shows that when nonprofit organizations ask about matching gifts on their donation pages, the result is an incredible 51% increase in the average donation amount!

The newest wave of donation forms are leveraging this trend to raise more for charitable causes. You can now use forms that include a “Matching Gift” section that allows donors to search the name of their employer, and submit a match request.

In this webinar, you’ll learn how you can harness the power of employee giving right away – especially during the holiday season when the volume of online donations increases!
