Our President’s Open Letter to United Way
United Way Colleagues,
With 75 days under my belt since joining FrontStream, I want to thank you for your emails, calls and the warm welcome (back) to the United Way community. As those of you I’ve come to know over the years can attest, I’ve been encouraging charities to embrace new technology and innovation ever since the early 80’s as a founding partner of Blackbaud. More importantly, that I’m a long time believer in the United Way movement and the great work you do.
Nearly everyone I’ve spoken with in the United Way community mentions the urgent need for a true technology partner to emerge with the knowhow and commitment to help United Way and its Corporate Partners better connect donors and employees to the communities and impact areas they care about.
FrontStream is the 2nd largest software provider to nonprofits with over 20,000 customers worldwide – including United Way and a significant percentage of the monies you raise and distribute annually. In turn, we are uniquely positioned with the experience, resources, scalability and proven solutions to deliver something even more exciting to United Way. Moreover, help guide you with strategies and best practices we know work.
I write to let you know that I am expanding FrontStream’s commitment to United Way and to announce our plan to release a revolutionary Intelligent Engagement Platform in early 2017 that I know you’ll be excited to learn about. To be clear, it is not intended to replace your CRM system of record.
We are proud to have the Truist solution (comprised of eWay/Campaign Mgmt., Volunteer Solutions and iGuide connectivity) in our product family and all of the advantages it offers your companies and their employees given the fact it was created by local United Ways for United Way. As part of the upcoming release, Truist will include a new look & feel and become the hub for a completely integrated solution that includes volunteer engagement and matching gifts, as well as our #1 peer-to-peer giving and online auction solutions used by thousands of leading companies and NPOs. I am also pleased to share that, in partnership with the United Way, we’ve developed an intuitive engagement experience for mobile devices that our Truist/eWay customers can implement right away and will be available to others with the early 2017 launch.
All will work together with your email, social media and other outreach activities and flow into a data warehouse to become United Way’s first Intelligent Engagement Platform. We will offer scaled pricing to ensure affordability to all United Ways backed by a commitment to service and a pledge to keep you front and center with your companies and donors.
We have a renewed relationship with United Way Worldwide and a shared commitment to partnering on key technology initiatives that will benefit the entire United Way network.
